NERIC’s VoIP Telephone Solution is an enterprise-level hosted service for school districts looking to implement a fully-supported unified communications system. NERIC will host district IP phones on our servers and implement all additions, moves and changes for phones, as well as for voicemail and feature sets. Feature sets of the Hosted VoIP system include such things as voicemail, auto attendants, speed dials, 911 notifications, voicemail to email, voice-enabled directories, IP paging/emergency alerting and many more. NERIC maintains the backend infrastructure in our carrier class Network Operations Center (NOC) with power, core and carrier redundancies.
This shared service saves districts the cost of servers, equipment maintenance, staffing and facility resources associated with delivering IP Telephony. The Hosted VoIP team provides management and support for critical VoIP Telephone services for subscribing school districts to include consultation, planning, implementation and ongoing day-to-day support for standardized equipment in accordance with the NERIC Chapter 793 plan. NERIC technicians will provide these services during normal business hours along with additional 24×7 active monitoring of critical systems and hardware. After-hours support and remediation is also provided by a valued partner as part of NERIC’s Hosted VoIP Services.
