This service provides access to various digital curriculum tools, as well as learning management systems. These tools provide digital content to students allowing flexibility in learning environments. Digital curriculum supports credit accrual/make-up, content remediation and test prep. NERIC staff provide program development and ongoing support training.
This service includes access to any one of the following online services:
Canvas, Schoology and Seesaw: The Learning Management System (LMS) service helps educators transform classrooms by providing a platform to blend traditional classes through an online system and/or deliver courses in a secure online environment. All services can be used for online course creation and content management while Schoology and Canvas offer school-wide communication. NERIC staff provide end-user training and instructional/ technical support for all products. Student Information System (SIS) Integration is available for Schoology Enterprise and Canvas subscribers. Subscribers can populate courses, rosters and parent accounts through integration with the district’s SIS. Google, Office 365 and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP) authentication is also available.
Credit Accrual, Make-Up and Virtual Tutoring: Online and blended learning services provide coursework otherwise unavailable in regular school schedules meeting varying student needs. Web-based courseware systems provide students opportunities to earn credits consistent with New York state regulations for awarding credit. This service supports varying levels of student readiness and supports core subjects, world languages, electives and exam prep courses.
