College and Career Readiness Services

This service features a suite of online college and career information applications often used in district guidance offices. Ongoing support is available to service subscribers. These web-based products offer such features as students’ interest inventories, career profiles, comprehensive college data, financial aid and scholarship information, resume tools and student career portfolios.

The products supported within this service are:

Guidance Direct (Frontline Centris Group)

Guidance Direct is an application that provides 24/7 information resources including an electronic messaging system that provides a network for school counselors across the state, an online knowledge base, electronic library containing the most up-to-date resources and state school counseling requirements. In addition, the application provide college and scholarship search engines and databases as well as a student tracking section and accountability reports.

Resources for students and parents include an Interest Profiler inventory, occupation search and database, college search and database, scholarship search and database, a resume writer, as well as an online storage facility for student portfolio work.

PowerSchool Naviance CCLR

Naviance is a fully accessible tool that helps K-12 students prepare for their future with personalized college, career, and life readiness (CCLR) planning tools. It enables students to discover their strengths and interests, build critical life readiness skills, create actionable goals and find their best path after high school.

Naviance Essentials Bundle includes college and career planning, self-discovery through surveys and assessments, success planning, eDoc to manage college applications and Alumni Tracker. Its student facing platform enables students to take self-discovery surveys and assessments, set up goals, conduct searches and set a path for college and career including the military and apprenticeship programs.

Naviance Curriculum Bundle extends the tool to include a course planner, Naviance curriculum, Insights Premium dashboards – analyzes college outcomes by student demographics and uncovers insights to improve those outcomes, TestPrep and Career Key.

SchooLinks

A modern College and Career Platform, SchooLinks is a single platform that supports the entire student planning journey. Its products include college exploration and application management that uses filters to explore thousands of 2-year, 4-year, and technical/certificated programs. It streamlines application and document management and offers real-time analytics and reporting.

SchooLinks’ Career Essentials modules enable students to explore potential career opportunities, including options for military service. It helps districts to create and manage relationships with industry partners, and helps students find local internships and/or apprenticeship programs.

Through the SchooLinks Pulse module – it provides districts with a 360 view of students from SEL to academic performance, college readiness, and career exploration.

The Elementary School module extends college and career readiness to K-5 classrooms with prebuilt lessons, uses quick check-in surveys and analytics to monitor SEL progression and activity effectiveness, provides career explorations that are segmented by grade level, and tracks student progress from kindergarten to past graduation.

Xello

Xello engages students through a student driven future-readiness program. The application contains assessments that build self-knowledge, personalized student portfolios, offers hundreds of career and college options that align with assessment results, and interactive planning tools. Its integrated lessons build skills that employers value.

Features include self-knowledge and skill-building activities, academic and career readiness, college planning and applications tracking, educator tools, a family portal, and early exploration. Its platform is accessible and inclusive, has single sign-on/rostering capabilities, and integrates with other platforms (Method Learning, National Student Clearinghouse, Common App, and Intellispark Pro).

Xello has two Elementary School modules – Xello for K-2 and Xello for 3-5. Both modules enable students to learn about careers through age-appropriate exploration, goal setting, and the development of critical thinking skills.
