NYSAA (Alternate Assessment)

Important Information

NYSAA Science and Social Studies Administration: Monday, September 26, 2016 - Friday, December 9, 2016
1. Preprinting Answer Sheets:
  • Level 0 upload deadline – Wednesday, November 16, 2016
  • Data extracted to preprint answer sheets – TBD
  • Answer sheets preprinted/mailed to BOCES – TBD
2. For a student to receive a preprinted answer sheet, the following data MUST be loaded in Level 0 then pushed to Level 1:
  • Program Service Code 0220 (Eligible for Alternate Assessment) MUST be listed
  • Grade MUST be either 13 (K-6) or 14 (7-12) in both Demographics & Enrollment
  • Student Test Level is determined by the student DOB. Please refer to the SED NYSAA Age Ranges for 2016-2017
3. NYSAA Science & Social Studies Administration: Monday, September 26, 2016 - Friday, December 9, 2016
  • Make-ups must be given within the testing window
  • Scoring Dates: Tuesday, January 17, 2017 - February 24, 2017
  • Answer Sheets due at NERIC by 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017. You may send your Science/Social Studies answer sheets to NERIC any time prior to Monday, February 27, 2017, BUT, not later than 4:00 p.m., Monday, February 27, 2017.

 

NYSAA English Language Arts and Math Administration: Monday, March 20, 2017 - Friday, June 2, 2017
  • NYSAA ELA and Math will be assessed using Dynamic Learning Maps (DLM). DLM is a computer-delivered adaptive assessment measuring a student’s achievement of the ELA and Math Common Core Learning Standards at a reduced level of depth, breadth, and complexity (Computer Based Testing).
  • Make-ups must be given within the testing window
  • Scoring Dates: N/A
  • There are no answer sheets for the NYSAA ELA and Math assessment. Therefore there is no submission to NERIC.
